The Site
If you haven’t figured it out already, this site is in dedication to Death Note. Basically, one day, I noticed that there were not that many Death Note sites on the internet, and the ones that WERE didn’t have the information I wanted, were not fun, or things like that. Hence, Shaza, the one who is writing this, decided to contact Guan, the owner of the Death Note fanlisting, and a good friend of mine, to ask about creating a Death Note site. A fansite is a lot of work ^_, so I needed some help and someone reliable, and thus Guan and me opened DG.org :D Almost immediately we already had established out hosting network, and so those were up before the site. The domain name DeathGod, was derived from Shinigami, which means death god :) A lot of people got confused and thought it was a Bleach domain at first, but we are really glad we opened the domain, and it might be a simple domain name— but fits the series :D

Idea
Basically, this site was to be an overall Death Note site with information, media and more. We wanted to the cater to the English audience, and make sure to cover all the releases and things in America ^^.

Technical
The domain name was registered at canaca, and was actually hosted there, but canaca drove us crazy, so we moved to a server that was more reliable, but really annoying when it came down to switching accounts and upgrading: gisol. So basically, the domain name was registered under, and hosted by gisol. We have about 20 gigs of space on gisol. In 2007 we moved to Dreamhost where we are hosted currently.
