Summary
  Kira seems to finally be winning when he uses his power over Misa to get Rem to agree to kill L. Rem’s love for Misa, and in turn, Misa’s love for Kira, proves to be a perfect weapon for Kira…Before Misa leaves Kira’s room, she asks for his phone number, but Light refuses to take on this danger. Instead Misa gives him one of her phones so that he can call her. Kira pulls an underhand attack by kissing Misa goodbye to maintain and feed off her utter lovesick attitue towards him. Ryuuk then asks Kira if he feels like drawing back since he and L are “friends,” but of course Kira responds saying that L is his enemy. We are then brought back to the imaginary skyscrapers of Kira and L’s world of rivalry. Kira shows his certainty of winning this “gamble.”
  Soon, L is seen speaking to the rest of the group. He brings up his suspicions of Light again, which slighly causes Yagami’s frustration. L states that if he dies in the next couple days then Light is certainly Kira. We go back to seeing Light, except this time he is walking around in school with his friend, when he spots L sitting on the bench. L reiterates what he said to the group to Light, that if he dies in a few days then Light is Kira. As they begin to walk together, Misa pops out of no where yelling Light’s name. During the encounter between L and Misa, it seems as though Kira has nothing to worry about since L can easily recognize Misa’s celebrity status. If you pay attention here you can see that L pretends to touch Misa’s butt although really he takes her cell phone. Just as Kira is about to separate from L, saying he is going to the bathroom, he decides to immediate call Misa to find out what L’s real name is, but surpringly behind him, he can hear the phone and L picks up. L gets another call and tells Kira that they have taken Misa in for suspicion of being the second Kira!
  Kira starts to feel completely naive, bringing himself back to his internal world. He starts to fall but freezes, remembering that he still has something left to play. We see Misa tied up and held in custody. She asks to be killed and Rem at her side, thinks she’s asking her to kill her. Rem goes to Light what Misa is asking and all because of her love for Kira. She tells him that there is only one way to save her and that is if she forfeits her ownership of the notebook, although this would also mean she would not see Rem anymore. Misa was convinced by Rem to forfeit her ownership because she would still remember Light and have his love. Of course, Rem knows better, this would be the best option for Light alone and so she tells Light that if he doesn’t save Misa she would kill him. He ends the episode by saying goodbye to Ryuuk…
