Summary
  This episode begins with Matsuda thinking of all various memories in which he isn’t able to help the task force of. While he watches Misa filming, he looks towards the Yotsuba corporation, which is under suspect by the police force. After some more degrading flashbacks, he drops his coffee and runs towards the building. There, he sneaks past security. Back at headquarters, Light is thinking about criminals that are being killed by Kira, and how he was able to gain access to the computer files of the criminals, basically suspecting himself. Later, Watari says that Yotsuba has contacted Erald Coil, asking the detective to find out the name of L. When the others are worried, L says that Eraldo Coil is none other than himself.
  Matsuda, hiding to the side of the elevator, overhears something about a secret meeting from two of the CEO members. He notes the floor, and runs up the stairs to the floor. At headquarters, L and his crew are planning the same exact thing, having Wedy and Aiber break into Yotsuba to set up surveillance and so forth. But as L states the risk of them finding out that they are after Kira, Matsuda puts his head to the door of the “secret” meeting and overhears it, in which they are indeed talking about Kira. But, at the moment that Matsuda rejoices over hearing this important information, the door suddenly opens and he falls through it, exposing himself to everyone. Immediately afterwards, Watari informs L that Matsuda sent out a distress signal from inside the Yotsuba building’s main office, to which L sighs half-heartedly. Realizing his bad situation, Matsuda tells the Yotsuba people that he is Matsui, Misa’s manager, and wants them to have her represent them. L calls Matsuda an idiot
  While Matsuda is talking to Yotsuba, L calls in, acting like his friend, and asks him some general questions like if he is alone (meaning Misa isn’t with him), if he can go out (when he says he can’t, it means he has some problems). Then, L hangs up. The Yotsuba group doesn’t believe Matsuda’s story, and asks him to call Misa to meet with them, to which Matsuda says he can, as soon as her movie shoot is done. While L’s taskforce discuss the problem and Light tries to call Misa (to which she doesn’t pick up) the Yotsuba people are worried about Matsuda and contemplate if he might be linked with the police. They tell Matsuda that they are interested. Misa, taking a break from the shoot, sees that Light had called, and calls him back. Light asks her about Matsuda, and in the same time, Matsuda calls in, asking Misa to come see the Yotsuba people. L tells Light to let her, since she is the only one able to save Matsuda from certain death.
  Misa comes in and takes the group to meet with her friends on her floor where she is staying (in the headquarters building), so that L might monitor. As soon as Matsuda sees that eyes are off him, he excuses himself to the bathroom, where he immediately calls L, and tells him what he heard. L tells him that they will definetly try to kill him then, and in order to save him, they will have to get him killed. Back at the party, Matsuda kicks the door, acting drunk, and goes outside, trying to balance himself at the window sill. There, he does a head stand, and suddenly falls off, but gets caught in a mattress. Then, the people who catch him, throw out a sand bag, so that it would make a sound, and when the group rushes to the window, they see Aiber pretending to be Matsuda, lying on the floor. An ambulance and crew suddenly drives up, and picks up the body, while Yotsuba group, encouraged by Misa, leave the premises due to the incident. In actuality, L and Light are the ones crewing the ambulance, and in the papers the next day, “Matsui”, Misa’s manager is reported as dead.
  Reading the papers, Kida, one of the members of the Yotsuba group, recieves a phone call from “Erald Coil”. He tells him that it will cost them 2 million for him to work for them. The Yotsuba group discusses this offer against one of the members who tries to argue, but after threathening him, they decide to hire Coil. On a building, Wedy tells L that she has the Yotsuba building bugged, and that it wasn’t that hard. Now, they all are able to see their secret meeting, which now consists of seven people (not eight, since that one person who argued was probably killed).
