Summary
At the Yotsuba meeting, they members discuss Coil’s information about Misa being accused by L as being the second Kira. Therefore, Coil recommends that they hire her in order to get information out of her, and Kida calls up Coil (Aiber) to confirm. In a dark room, with Rem behind him, the Yotsuba member who is Kira, tells Rem about Misa. He says that she had the notebook before, and lost her memory in order to escape with her life. Hence, since Misa had the eyes and all, he would want to make her his wife, and then kill her afterwards. Rem, worried about this, takes a piece of the notebook and tells himself that this is the only way to save Misa.
After Misa’s “rehearsals” headed by L at the headquarters, Mochi drives her to Yotsuba for her interview. There, the members are there to interview her, headed by Aiber who is pretending to be Coil. Coil tells Misa about Kira kiling her parent’s murderer and asks her about L capturing her. At this point, Misa tells them about the capture, and when Higuchi excuses himself for the bathroom, Misa asks to go there as well. However, not a moment passes before Rem touches Misa with the piece of notebook paper, and covers her mouth, asking her to listen to her because the Yotsuba want to kill her.
Back at the headquarters, Light thinks about the old Kira and present Kira. That there is a large difference between them, and when he thinks about them, he tells himself that the old Kira’s thought pattern is very similar to his own. This however, he tries to erase from his thoughts because he can’t possible be Kira, or so he thinks. In the bathroom, Rem tells Misa about Light being Kira, the Death Note, and that she actually had the same power as Kira and were able to get close to Light. She says that right now, everything is going to Light’s plan, and wonders if Misa is still willing to die for Light. Misa says she believes the shinigami because she knows so much about herself, and that she still loves Light. Rem acknowledges this, saying that for Misa’s case she will also support Light since the other Kira is way worse, and warns Misa that the current Kira is very dangerous and she should be very careful about him. Furthermore, she tells her that when she returns to the meeting, the one that Rem is standing behind is the current Kira. When Misa does so, she finds out that Higuchi is Kira.
When they return to L’s group, Misa sits down on Light, saying that she is really tired. In addition, she says that she has the numbers of some of the members, and this way she can investigate better. Light tells Misa that he won’t allow her to do that since it is really dangerous. Misa says okay, and then walks away, with L kind of suprised, back to her room, teasing Light to sleep with her.
The next day, Misa goes into a hospital, telling Mochi she is going to use the restroom. However, in the stall, her friend is waiting for her, and Misa switches outfits and wigs with her, passing right past Mochi. Outside, she meets Higuchi, and gets into his car. There, she tells Higuchi that she is the second Kira, suprising Higuchi, since he had figured that she had lost her memories. When Higuchi asks Misa about it, she tells him that she won’t reveal her powers to anyone but Kira, since she wants to be Kira’s wife, due to the fact that Kira would need her. After some thought, Higuchi tells Misa that he is Kira, and so Misa says that she will prove it to him. When Higuchi asks her to kill a CEO, she tells him to look away, and starts to pretend to be writing in the Death Note, at which moment, Rem writes down his name and kills him. Higuchi makes a phone call to confirm this, and then suddenly jumps on top of Misa, asking her if she wants to be his bride, since he IS Kira. Misa, looking astonished, says that he must prove it, and not through killing criminals, but to stop killing until she tells him to start killing again. He agrees.
Suddenly, Misa walks in with her cell phone recording and plays Higuchi’s recording of him stating that he is Kira on the phone. At this, all the members are astonished, complimenting her on what she did, and since they know this, they can catch him and stop the murders. L though, doesn’t look amused, and Light is suprised.
Differences
- Higuchi doesn’t jump on Misa like that O_o in the manga…
Ideas
- Hmm, I think there is a nice amount of added drama in the anime, and just the small extra lines add more character to those who didn’t really get it before…
