Basic Information

Now with a certainty that Mikami must be X-Kira, Near tells the follower, Giovanni, to be careful because the Shinigami might warn Mikami that he is being followed. Will Mikami be caught??

Meanwhile Aizawa ponders over the fact that there are no bugs in Light’s hotel room. He assumes that if he is Kira then he must be writing to Takada in their meetings. He carefully makes a mark with his nail at the bottom of the writing pad that Light uses during the meetings. During their next meeting, Misa is brought up and Light writes that Misa had Kira’s power and so there was no way to avoid Misa’s usage. Takada is convinced and more messages are passed. Takada reads out a message that Light writes saying that the only way they could be together is if Kira is caught. Matsuda believes this is perfect!

During this time, Near gets a close up look on Mikami as he mutters to himself. Lester lip reads to make out that the Shinigami hasn’t appeared since Mikami received the notebook.

After the meeting between Takada and Light, Aizawa goes back to the writing pads. Two of the pads don’t have nail marks! Aizawa is able to conclude that Takada and Light are communicating by writing. He tells Near in person what he saw and Near tells him he already knows. Near says not to needless things and just watch Light because Near WILL defeat him.

Before Takada’s show, Misa and Mochi are taken in by the SPK. Now Near has the suspected second Kira in capture. Meanwhile, Giovanni goes into Mikami’s gym locker to try to find the notebook to touch and see if the Shinigami will appear. But no Shinigami appears. Near decides to wait 23 days to see if Giovanni is still alive to test the rules of the notebook. Giovanni also takes pictures of each page of the notebook.

Differences

• Not many big changes here, just some thinking and talking cut off like usual.
