Summary
  After a small recap of the previous episode, we get back to Higuchi in his car listening to Sakura T.V. In the television Matsuda is saying that Kira needs a face and a name to kill someone. Higuchi, a bit annoyed, asks Rem if going to Yoshida Productions to get the name would be worth it. At this, the headquarters, watching Higuchi on their screens, are a bit surprised because he appears to be talking to no one. Rem tells Higuchi that he doesn’t know anything about Yoshida Productions having the real name or not. Higuchi tells Rem that it is a bit suspicious for them to let him into their office alone, and that the records of the name are probably fake. Rem, though, figures out that this is all probably apart of Light’s plan and tells Higuchi that he should go just in case since no one will suspect him. Higuchi continues to talk, while Light and L are watching, stating that in that case he will have to cover his tracks by killing off other people like Misa and so forth. When Misa gets a bit worried, L tells her not to, since he would do that only after he killed Matsuda >_>, to which Light agrees lol. Rem tells Higuchi to just kill Matsuda, since if he kills others, then he would be under suspicion.
  Light gets up, saying that he is definetly talking to someone, and L quietly says that if he is talking to someone in the car, then it would be shinigami. At this Misa gasps. After a bit more talking, Higuchi finally arrives at Yoshida Productions. He goes into the office, takes out the file, and notes down Matsuda’s “name” in the Death Note. L and Light, watching all of this, are suprised, since they are waiting to see how he kills people and all they had seen was that he wrote a name in a notebook. After writing the name down, Higuchi gets back into the car quietly, and Light is suprised how calm he is. Higuchi counts down the seconds, and when Matsuda still doesn’t die, he screams that he didn’t die, triggering to Light and L that he had already tried to kill. Light and L are confused, and L is wondering what to do because he hasn’t seen how he is killing people. When Light comments on “Rem”, thinking that maybe Higuchi’s powers are really godly, L denies this, saying that there is something more to it. Knowing that he is going to die now if he doesn’t stop Matsuda, Higuchi makes the deal with Rem for the Shinigami eyes (confusing Light once again), and heads towards Sakura T.V. to kill him.
  On the road, Higuchi gets stopped by some police officer, and when he asks for his license, he reaches into his bag, writes down the officer’s name and drives away. Wedy and Aiber, following him, report this to L and a little while later the officer crashes into a truck in the front. L wonders what Higuchi did when he put his hand in the bag, and deduces that Higuchi might have the powers as the second Kira. At this thought, he tells them to capture Higuchi right away since it’s too dangerous to let him go free. L tells Watari to get him the detective of the police, to which he says he knows the identity of Kira and to keep police away from him. He then tells Light’s dad what happened, and they agree to evacuate Sakura T.V. replacing Matsuda and the reporter with manniquins. L decides to make a move as well, handcuffs Misa to a chair, and then he flies a helicopter with Light and Watari towards Higuchi. Higuchi, still in his car, heads towards the Yotsuba building, hoping to see the recorded tapes there, not knowing that the records have been erased from them by Matsuda, as confirmed by Wedy. When he gets to Yotsuba, he finds that the tapes are erased, and decides to go to Sakura T.V., where Yagami and Wedy are waiting. Higuchi gets out of the car and heads into the station where he gets cornered by Aiber, Mogi, Wedy, and Yagami. Higuchi pulls out a gun, aiming at Wedy, and Yagami blocks the bullet, but Higuchi makes an escape to his car. They tail him, and L decides that there is no choice and they must go after him themselves as well.
  A car chase ensues, an Higuchi makes his way up a freeway ramp, with L’s helicopter following after him closely. He then realises that it must have all been a trap when he suddenly sees police cars blocking his way. Watari, is suprised since they didn’t ask for cops, and it could only mean that Aizawa and all were involved, which they were. Higuchi, now desperate, tries to flee one last time, but is his wheels are shot by Watari. When he tries to shoot himself with his gun, Watari shoots this out of his hand as well. L and Light claim that it’s all over.
