Summary
The chapter started with Takada announcing Kira’s message that he shall not forgive those who sinned. Raito silently objected to that view of Mikami’s. He thinks that Kira existed only to oppress crimes, but not to punish those who committed crimes but want to start a new life. Raito wants to talk to Mikami as soon as possible considering their believes differ in a way. Aizawa commented on Raito’s depressed look, Raito then lied that he doesn’t want to “lie” to Takada, but he has no choice. He said that he wanted to “save” her because once Kira sees no use in her, he’ll kill her. Aizawa said that he shouldn’t worry then, and that he should give it all to capture Kira for the sake of Takada and the world. Raito then said that for the sake of his father too. At this time, Takada (on TV) suddenly said that she wanted to give some of her own opinions to Kira, and that if she can talk to Kira, she can give more detailed report.

So she did exactly what Raito told her to do. Mikami on the other hand, started to question her action. Near, watching Takada on TV, questions her action too. Near was able to get report that Takada met with someone of a close relationship the night before. Both Near and Mikami decided that what Takada was saying probably wasn’t her own idea. Near then ordered to do whatever to find out the identity of the person that Takada met the night before.

On the other hand, Raito and his police force act according to plan as usual. Raito met with Takada in the hotel again, and Near wasn’t even able to know which room. When Takada came into the hotel room, Raito suddenly hugged her. He said thanks and such and they started kissing. (According to the blurred picture and Ide’s ridiculous reaction, I think they kissed.) Suddenly, Takada’s cell phone rang and it was Mikami. Raito, the police force, and Takada were surprised to get such a phone call. Mikami told Takada to return to the TV station while he killed off (skilledfully!) one of the protestors (who protest to have Kira back to the original station. Mikami then questioned Takada where she was and who was she with, then Takada was so scared that she told him that she was in a hotel with a friend. Mikami then asked if what she said on the TV were told by the person beside her, Takada answered yes. So Mikami had a pretty clear picture of who that person is.

He told Takada to give the phone to Raito. Then, Mikami asked, “are you god” when Raito answered the phone. And Raito answered “yes.” Mikami then asked Raito to prove his identity, and Raito answered in question form to not be suspected. He answered “Nov.26st? 5? What do you mean?” Basically he was telling Mikami that he sent Mikami the letter on Nov.26st regarding the transection of power and there were 5 stamps on the envelope. Mikami then realized that Raito was under surveillance and that he cannot act or talk freely. He asked Raito those things and Raito answered yes with a few tricks. Mikami then said “from now on, I shall obey the god.” Raito then wrote down a note for the police force to see that he wants to check his surroundings for “Kira” and that he needs to take off all spying tools. Aizawa understood Raito and knew that he must do so to avoid being killed by Kira. Then when all spying tools were taken off, Raito told Takada that he is Kira. Raito then gave order to Mikami that from now on, they will communicate over Takada. When Raito hang up the phone, he told Takada that they shall built a new world together, and that if he is the god, she shall be the godness. (The last scene of the page was Takada sliding off her coat, and then a shot of the hotel building from outside… I assume Raito was seducing…Takada.. XD)

Raito came out from the hotel and told his fellow police that he was saved by Takada telling “Kira” that he was her lover. He also got the secret that Kira gave order to Takada through one of her managers’ e-mail. And that Kira is open for suggestion. Raito then told them that from now on, he shall use the excuse of dating Takada to investigate Kira.
